Let's do surreal right in our own backyard instead of cosmic horror. The book I originally planned for November isn't available locally, and I'd rather not stress Flippers by having them hunt down copies from overseas. The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch is stressful enough on sanity as it is.
Instead, we'll go for Chuckberry Pascual's Ang Nawawala. It's accessible, quirky, and somehow relatable, even with the weirdness happening around the barangay.
It's up to you to read the Filipino or English version.
