Pancake Day is traditionally about using up what’s already in the cupboard before starting afresh. This makes it a brilliant metaphor for business.
Instead of chasing shiny new ideas, tools or funding, this co-working day helps founders and SMEs ask:
“What ingredients do we already have that we’re under-using?”
And yes, this absolutely includes pancakes and toppings 🥞

12:30: Peer Flipping
Small groups tackle one question: "How could you flip one existing ingredient to create more value?”
Examples:
- Turning customer FAQs into content
- Repackaging services into products
- Using partnerships to access new markets
- Automating a manual process
Each table shares one flipped idea.
13:00 The Flip Challenge
Each participant completes:
“In the next 30 days, I will flip this existing ingredient…”
They define:
- What they’ll reuse
- How they’ll reuse it
- What success looks like
13:30 Lunch & Learn Summary
End with a strong message:
“You don’t need a bigger cupboard.
You need a better recipe.”
