About this Event

**THIS EVENT IS IN PERSON IN SYDNEY**

From law to government policy to founding Penny, Jemi's journey has been anything but linear– all about navigating complexity and finding ways to simplify it. In this session, she will share how visual thinking has helped her make sense of complex problems, communicate big ideas simply, and ultimately build Penny, a home-buying and financial empowerment platform for women. Along the way, she will explore why financial literacy and confidence are the first steps to independence, how homeownership remains one of the most powerful (yet inaccessible) wealth-building tools for young women, and how design and communication can play a role in closing that gap.

----

This in-person event is for professionals in any industry looking to expand their visual communication & design toolkit and be inspired by unique stories about the power of creativity and visual storytelling. See you there!

ABOUT JEMI

Jemi Jeng is the founder of Penny, a home-buying and financial empowerment platform helping women take confident steps toward property ownership and long-term financial security. With a career spanning law, policy, and tech, she has worked across government tackling complex social and policy challenges before turning her focus to women’s financial independence.

A passionate advocate for equity and inclusion, she believes that financial systems should be accessible to everyone, and that literacy, confidence, and access are key to changing that, particularly for women. Through Penny, she is building the tools, resources, and community women need to overcome barriers to homeownership and wealth-building.
