FLINTA* TO THE FRONT (of house)!*(Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender)
The technical team at concerts is another one of those spots plagued by lack of diversity so lets change it. We're holding a workshop to get more people behind the lights console. There will also be an additional lights training workshop the following week on November 19th open to everyone (not just FLINTA).
What to expect:
-This session is aimed at everyone, both those with no knowledge of lights and those who have done lights before just maybe not at our venue.
-We will talk about how to turn on and run the lights on the small stage in Dødsmaskinen
-Talk about how to turn on and run lights on the big stage in Salen
-Practice a bit on both to get some hands on experience
-Talk a bit about how DMX works and how everything is wired up (on a very basic level, not hyper advanced) so you can troubleshoot a bit and understand how all venue systems work.
We hope you leave feeling confident enough to join us for our next gig! In general we have several light techs at each of our shows. If you're nervous you can ask a more experienced person to join you to answer any questions and/or trade off between sets so you can just test it all out with one band for a night instead of a whole lineup.
