About this Event
Your Fleet Feet coaches will help you with all you need to meet your race goal whether it’s your first half marathon or you’re looking to set a new PR. We’ve structured our 10-week training program to peak with the NYCRUNS New Jersey Half in Newport on Sept 28 and the Jersey Shore Half on Sandy Hook on Sept 29.
Our training approach has been time tested and honed over the years. We’ve got an ideal mix of endurance building, speed runs, hill workouts, cross training, and long runs to get you ready for race day. Come train with us!
The training program includes:
- A 10 week training program (the fun begins on July 22!)
- Access to experienced running coaches via in-person, phone, email, WhatsApp
- Guided speed and hill workouts on Tuesday evenings
- Group runs on Wednesday evenings (concurrent with Fleet Feet’s Wednesday Fun Runs)
- Guided long runs on Saturday mornings with pace group leaders
- In partnership with several local businesses you'll get these added perks:
- Urban Souls Yoga: cool down yoga at Fleet Feet following select Tuesday workouts and select sessions at the Urban Souls studio
- Rumble Boxing: 5 free boxing classes for cross training
- Spear Physical Therapy: Injury prevention and stretching lessons at their clinic
- Zen Om Studio: free and discounted recovery treatments at their studio (e.g., Normatec compression boots, cryo therapy)
- Prime Cycle + Body: 5 free classes for cross training
- Gravity Vault: Free guided rock climbing session for cross training

- Weekly tips to get you ready for race day

N OTE:
- Participants should be comfortable running 5 miles at the start of the program
- The training program cost does not include race registration fees
