Fleet and Mechanic Program Roundtable
Come participate in a roundtable geared towards fleet and mechanics and find out what your peers are doing in their local agencies. What is the make-up of their fleet. How many pieces do they have. How often do they purchase and trade in their equipment. How do they purchase their vehicles and equipment, Ohio Buys, Source Well, National Auto Fleet and private dealerships. How do they sell their vehicles and equipment, Gov Deals, Auctions, Municipal Bid or any other ways. What problems are they facing with new technology and the computerization of the equipment. Have their agencies moved to EV vehicles and Equipment. How do they staff their mechanics departments and do they require ASE Certifications. Are they having issues keeping mechanics or even finding qualified mechanics. Do they have coop programs. What are they using to diagnose/scan their fleet, what type of lifts are they using, do they have unique tools and features incorporated in their shop. How large is their shop space. This is a great opportunity to learn what your peers are doing and get ideas to take back to your agency.
