FOR YOUTH grades 3 through 9! Youth must have completed second grade to attend.
Exploring plants, soil, worms, composting, plant products, hydroponic farming, pollinators and insects, genetic diversity, seeding, propagation and so much more!

Learning about growing your own food is not taught in schools, but it is vital education for a sustainable future and for food sovereignty.
Day campers will be offered three weeks of learning and hands on experiences will include demonstrations from local experts. The program will be led by a K-8 Michigan Certified Teacher.
June 9, 10, 11, 12 Plant and Soil Sciences! Seeding, propagation, soil health, composting, hydroponics
June 16, 17, 18, 19 Plants and Insects! Identification strategies, pollinators, diversity, natural relationships
June 23, 24, 25, 26 Plant Production! Growing for market, products from plants, entrepreneurship
Join one, two or all 3 weeks of the experiences! Each 4-day week is a different focus, each day includes different tasks!
Meeting times are 9 AM until 3 PM. Parent drop off and pick up required. Transportation via CATA bus passes available at no charge for youth and a parent upon request.
Weekly rate is $160, this includes lunch and $90 worth of take home supplies! Secure your child's spot with payment.
