Abridged Opera partners up again with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra to bring to life Johann Strauss II’s Viennese comedy, “Fledermaus: A Champagne Masquerade.” Fledermaus is a sparkling confection of mistaken identities, illicit liaisons, and champagne-fueled merriment. The actress Rosalinda and her husband Eisenstein are in Vienna to celebrate the New Year. Dr. Falke unfolds his revenge plot on Eisenstein, two years in the making!Fledermaus will feature a community chorus in Act 2 during the “masked ball” and was the late Maestro Robert Franz’s desire that we bring this Viennese comedy to life in Windsor to ring in 2026!
This performance is dedicated to the late Maestro Robert Franz.
