FLEADH CHEOILThe Fleadh Cheoil is an Irish music festival. The first National festival of Irish traditional music was held in Mullingar in 1951 and this was when the title Fleadh Cheoil was used. From its beginning the goal of the festival was to establish standards in Irish traditional music.
Towns and Cities in Ireland bid to host the festival, such is the prestige of holding this event.
