Flawless body, flawless hair, flawless skin, flawless performance, flawless manners, flawless smile…otherwise, who are you?Showing as part of the NZ Fringe 2025, Flawless is a contemporary circus work about the impossible pursuit to be the perfect woman, which our society has conditioned us to value.
Society places relentless pressure on women to be kind, accommodating, smart, outwardly happy and, of course, attractive…that is perfect.
Flawless uses aerial art, mirrors and movement to explore perfectionism and the stresses and self-criticism that comes with it.
This is a show for those of us who are learning it’s okay to be human.
