Over the past 22 years, Flatland Film Festival has featured a dynamic range of films. While we are primarily a short film festival, we also feature a carefully curated selection of feature films, documentaries, animations, music videos, and video art. Our programming sparks emotion, challenges perceptions, and illuminates the power of visual storytelling, enriching the cultural dialogue in Lubbock and far beyond.Flatland Film Festival will accept short film submissions from all genres. In addition, the festival is excited to accept feature film submissions that spotlight stories from Texas and the Southwest region. The festival committee will select one feature film from these submissions to be featured at the 2025 Flatland Film Festival!
