About this Event
Join us for a Flash Fiction Workshop inspired by the contest organized by the Florence Literary Society and The Florentine, which invites writers to capture the essence of Florence in 150 words or fewer. This event offers a welcoming space to explore the craft of concise storytelling while discovering what makes flash fiction such a compelling form.
In this session you’ll dive into the essentials of flash fiction: how to build a vivid scene, select your one or two characters, focus on a single conflict, and deliver impact in a few sentences. Then, you’ll generate your own micro-story in real time, and (if you feel like it) share it with the group for friendly feedback. Whether you’re simply curious, looking to try your hand at something new, or planning to submit to the contest, this workshop offers a fun, supportive space to write, experiment and maybe take the first steps toward your own flash fiction entry.
