Flanders Weekend at Mellow Johnny's

We’re kicking things off with a community ride at 9 AM, led by none other than Lance Armstrong, George Hincapie, and Sir Bradley Wiggins. Yes, you read that right. Having these three icons in Austin at the same time is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This is your chance to roll through Austin alongside some of the biggest names in the sport. No cobblestones, just good company and solid miles. After the ride, swing by the shop to hang out, talk bikes, and fuel up.

It’s race day. The Tour of Flanders (Ronde van Vlaanderen) is one of the most grueling, glorious races on the calendar, known for its relentless climbs and punishing cobbles.

At 7 AM-10 AM, we’ll be streaming the race at the shop—because there’s no better way to watch the race than surrounded by fellow fans. Just like in Belgium, expect waffles and frites to keep you fueled, plenty of drinks to rehydrate, and coffee from next door.

After the dust settles, at 10:30 AM, Lance, George, and Bradley will break it all down with a live taping of podcast. Expect insider analysis, untold stories, and maybe a little post-race roasting. Plus, we’ll have exclusive event posters and t-shirts available—grab one before they’re gone.

This is set to be one of the biggest cycling weekends in Austin. . You’ll want to be here for this.

*On the morning of Sunday, April 6th, the Cap10k will be taking place, which may affect access to the store. To ensure a smooth visit, we recommend planning ahead. Street parking + paid parking in nearby retail garages will be available, but spaces are limited, so arrive early if you can.
