Instructor: Phil HackmanSkill Level: Beginner
This workshop will involve students bringing life to their curiosity of flameworked glass art and being guided through actively creating their own one-of-a-kind holders for air plants of their choice. The process will depict decoration methods using clear and colored glass, melting and forming the vessel with a torch and blowing into the glass, and then shaping using hand tools before finally attaching the air plants once the glass has cooled.
Participants should each expect to be able to make 2 unique holders and return home with them that same day. This workshop can be enjoyed and fully experienced by a beginner and those with some flameworking experience will find it enriching as well.
All materials are included in the tuition. No experience is necessary. Appropriate for students aged 13 and up. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
