House Keeping Items:
Rules Interpretations: Rules as written from Flames of War v4 Rulebook, and Lessons from the Front PDF. Arguments that include the phrases “But Phil said...” or “But on Facebook...” or “But the way our group plays it...” will not hold water. Any modification to the rules must be agreed upon by each player prior to the start of the game. Rule disputes that require judgment by the TO will be based strictly upon rules as written in the main rule book or Lessons from the Front regardless of any previous agreements earlier in the game.
Proxies: All models used on the table must resemble what they are intended to be used for. Tanks must be the correct chassis for their vehicle. For example, any Panzer IV chassis can be used to represent any Panzer IV variant. Barrel length for vehicles must be easily distinguishable if a mix of barrel lengths are present in the same army.
Sportsmanship: Masters will be held in a gaming store and will have outside observers, so the expectation for behavior is at a higher standard. While this is a competitive environment, this is not your first tournament. Violations of the rules, or verified sportsmanship complaints, will be handled with a warning (yellow card). Flagrant cheating or multiple warnings will result in a red card, which can include forfeiture of the current game (1-8 loss) and can result in tournament disqualification.
Time: Each round will be 2.5 hours. The TO will keep the official clock; however, players are responsible for monitoring the time remaining within the current round. The TO will announce time intervals remaining within the round as a courtesy. When time expires, the game is over.
Ringer: If needed, the TO will appoint a ringer.
