Step into the warmth of Métis tradition with Flames of Tradition, a unique cultural fire experience designed for families, travelers, and lifelong learners. Gather around a crackling fire in the heart of nature and learn how fire has long been a source of survival, connection, and storytelling for the Métis people.
Led by an Indigenous guide, you’ll explore traditional fire-starting methods—like flint and steel, friction, and natural tinder—while hearing teachings about the role of fire in Métis history and daily life. Around the fire circle, stories are shared, questions are welcomed, and community is built.
Whether you're lighting your first spark or deepening your cultural understanding, this experience offers hands-on learning, meaningful conversation, and a chance to slow down and reconnect with the land.
All ages welcome. Come curious, leave inspired.
