From one of the Manchester flamenco guitarists who has taken a class with him in Sevilla:
“I found the classes I took with David to be super valuable. He has a deep knowledge of both accompanying and solo playing. I was shown some very tasteful music which had a modern but still traditional flamenco sound. He demonstrated some rhythmic ideas which I found particularly helpful for dance accompaniment. I would highly recommend his workshops.”

David Caro, guitarist
=============
David Caro began studying flamenco guitar at the age of 11, under the teaching of his father, the guitarist José Antonio Caro. He continued his apprenticeship with the Almerian guitarist Antonio Luis López, who influenced his playing with knowledge of harmony and a more modern vision of the flamenco guitar.
He graduated with honours in Flamenco Guitar from the Conservatorio Superior de Música Rafael Orozco" in Córdoba, where he studied with the guitarist Paco Serrano, also receiving classes from Manolo Franco, Niño de Pura, Manuel Martín and Gabriel Expósito and from the prestigious flamencologist Faustino Núñez, completing his training as a guitarist both as a soloist and in accompaniment to singing and dancing.
He has taken courses with Manolo Sanlúcar and José Antonio Rodríguez at the International Guitar Festival in Córdoba and with José Quevedo "Bolita de Jerez" at the "Utrera Suena" Festival, Diego del Morao and Antonino Rey.
At the age of 17 he began to work accompanying the singer Juan Pinilla from Granada (winner of the Lampara Minera del Cante de las Minas de La Unión in 2007), and is now his regular guitarist.
Two years later, he expanded his knowledge of singing with Manuel Moreno Maya "El Pele", prestigious Cordoban cantaor, accompanying his shows, highlighting the work "Peleando", in the VI Noche Blanca del Flamenco in Cordoba, and also with the dancer Farruquito in the work "Dos Figuras: Farruquito y El Pele".
In 2012 he recorded an album with Juan Pinilla, "La copla popular en Gerald Brenan", and in 2014 he composed and recorded the music for another album with the same singer and the poet Fernando Valverde, "Jugar con Fuego", which was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards 2014, in the category "Best Flamenco Album", sharing the nomination with Paco de Lucía and Enrique Morente, among others.
In 2015 he took part in the show "Divino Tesoro", directed by the poet José Luis Ortiz Nuevo, premiered at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville. In the same year, he toured with Juan Pinilla and Fernando Valverde, with the album "Jugar con Fuego", touring several cities in Mexico and the United States.
In the summer of 2017 he took part in a tour of Mexico with the company "Aviso: Bayles de Jitanos" of Antonio Molina "El Choro" where they performed at the XIX Festival de Arte Flamenco de Monterrey and the Festival Internacional de Danza Ibérica Contemporánea de Querétaro.
He worked with the cast of Manuel Montoya "El Carpeta", in the show "Flamenco Show" and in the show "A Bailar" with which they closed the 22nd Festival de Jerez 2018 at the Villamarta Theatre and with which they travelled to Turkey and Japan.
He also performs in more contemporary musical groups, such as Diego Villegas Trío's project "Bajo de Guía" and Sergio de Lope's project "I night in Utrera".
He has composed the music for various shows, including: "Jugar con Fuego" by Juan Pinilla and Fernando Valverde, "Retazos" by the bailaor Julio Ruíz, "De donde viene ese lamento" by Juan Pinilla, "Alachar" by the bailaores Julio Ruíz and Inca Díaz, "El tiempo de la memoria" by Juan Pinilla, and he is currently preparing the music for the new show by the Almerian bailaora Rocío Garrido.
He is currently a member of the staff of the Tablao "Los Gallos", and apart from working as a guitarist accompanying singing and dancing, he combines this with his solo show.
With his guitar he has toured places including France, Italy, Sardinia, Switzerland, Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, Sudan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Japan and Cape Verde.
