Flamenco is a traditional art form originating in Andalucía, southern Spain, where dance, music, rhythm, and emotional expression come together as one.In these beginner flamenco classes, you are invited to explore the foundations of flamenco in a welcoming and supportive space.
We focus on basic footwork, posture, musicality, rhythm (compás), and expressive movement, building confidence, body awareness, and joy through dance.
No previous experience needed. Come as you are!

Meet the teacher:
Eva Kavalika is a music and classroom teacher from Greece. Parallel to her studies and work in education, she has been diving into performing arts from a very young age in diverse music, theatre, and dancing scenes.
Her flamenco journey started in 2002, and she has been practicing for more than 20 years with dancers from both Greece and Spain. She has performed in several flamenco shows mostly within Studio Flamenco Pellizco, one of the most significant flamenco schools in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Do I need a partner to join?
No, Flamenco is mostly dancing solo.
Do I need to buy flamenco shoes?
Ideally yes (if you are interested in diving deeper) but definitely not at the beginning.
What kind of shoes are the best to start with?
Any shoe with a stable (square) heel is good to start with.
If steady heels are not available, join with your sneakers and we will figure it out on the way!
