The Rotary Club at Wellen Park is pleased to share some exciting information about one of our upcoming events!Support our “Flags for Heroes” program by sponsoring and dedicating a flag to fly over Wellen Park in support of Veterans Day and Military Veterans, first responders or someone special (your hero) in your life.
Keepsake metal plaques (as in photo) suitable for private or public display will be presented as part of Rotary Club at Wellen Park's Salute to Veterans in honor of 2024 Veterans Day.
In conjunction with our Flags for Heroes program, our Rotary Club will host a Salute to Veterans at Wellen Park’s Main Lawn, North Port, Florida on November 8th at 7:30 PM. The Salute will include recognition of veterans and first responders, singing of our national anthem, a 21-gun Salute from the NO-VEL Post of the American Legion, and free Pop Dawgs hotdogs to veterans and first responders.
