Flackwild Heath
Join Chiltern Rangers to make Flackwell Heath the most nature rich village in south Buckinghamshire!! We aim to create a variety of green spaces where nature can thrive. These spaces will range in size and type from mini wildflower patches to newly planted hedgerows and trees. Existing hedges will be laid in a traditional style and bird, bat & swift boxes will be placed on buildings and owl boxes on trees.
Transport & Address:
We will be working in and around Flackwell Heath. We will meet on site at 10am and finish at approximately 3.30pm. We will meet in Orchard Green inbetween Chapman Lane and Greendragon Lane.

The Task:
Tasks will include cutting and raking , sowing willdflower seed, making bird boxes, creating habitat piles, litter picking and more!
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Arrival for safety briefing, please don't be late!
10.15: Work begins
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Lunch Break - please bring your own
15.00: Work finishes, time to go home!
What to bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny, you may want to bring a hat and suncream.
Please bring plenty of fluids and a packed lunch. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Volunteering and COVID:
Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
