Booking: booking.cismalta.orgIn John 6:1–14, we witness a young boy offering five loaves and two small fish—seemingly insignificant in the face of a crowd of thousands. This story reminds us that what we offer—however little it may seem in our eyes—can be precious and powerful when given with love and faith. This weekend, we explore the work of Anthony de Mello, an Indian Jesuit who blended Western and Eastern approaches to prayer. In Sadhana: A Way to God, he contrasts the Western “head approach” with the Eastern “heart approach” that uses senses, awareness, and feelings—elements that enrich our connection with God. This resonates deeply with Ignatian spirituality and reminds us of Pope John Paul II’s image of the Church “breathing with two lungs”. Through video clips, interviews, and readings, de Mello’s voice—humorous, piercing, and inviting—will guide us in recognizing the presence of the Blessed Trinity in daily life.
