About this Event
Summer and the Fire Element: The Season of Expression and Connection
The Five Elemental Workshop Series is a seasonal programme of five workshops, each rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, exploring the Five Elements - Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Throughout these series we delve into the benefits of living harmoniously with the seasons and why the way we inhabit our bodies and our spaces matters.
The Element of the summer season - Fire
During this workshop we will explore what the Fire Element asks of the body, how to move with it rather than against it, and how to sustain that inner spark during the summer months. You will walk away nourished and renewed, with tools and simple practices to carry you forward.
This workshop will cover:
- Flavours of the season; tea offering
- The Fire Element; Connection, joy & authentic expression
- Qigong - combining gentle movement with rhythmic breathing
- Demonstration of key pressure points keeping our Fire in balance and how to use them to promote balance, allowing thriving during the Summer season
- Reflection, setting intention & guided meditation
Please note that no prior knowledge of TCM or acupuncture is assumed or needed from participants. These workshops are designed for people who are curious about living more seasonally and with intention.
Participants will also take home a gift bag including:
- An acupressure pen
- Acu seeds
- Scent of the season - Homework fragrant
- A booklet and pen.
