Experience the power of community music-making with FIUsion! Join us for an uplifting evening where high school musicians, FIU students, alumni, and local community members come together to perform an exciting mix of band repertoire. This season’s program, conducted by Emiliano Saumell and Alejandro Guardia, Jr., celebrates the unity and talent of our local musical community.
Feel the energy of pieces like A Festival Prelude by Alfred Reed, the playful Alligator Alley by Michael Daugherty, the heartfelt Earth Song by Frank Ticheli, and Irish Tune from County Derry by Percy Grainger. You’ll also hear Solstice Overture, a special piece composed by our own Alejandro Guardia, Jr., bringing a personal touch to this celebration of community through music.
