Are you a college or university student currently enrolled in an Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Landscape Architecture program?
Florida International University is opening its doors to university and college students nationally to compete in its 31st annual tradition of Walk on Water.
Walk on Water is a race that tests the design of student designed and constructed floatable shoes that have to be “walked” across a lake (distance of about 275 feet). Shoes may be designed by an individual or team. The team or individual that crosses the finish line is granted an academic scholarship.
If a new record is established, a second prize will be awarded to record breaker.
A two-night stay at Marriott’s Aloft Hotel in Doral, Florida will be complimentary for the first five teams or individuals that register online (one room per team). Discounted hotel rates are also available.

- Luncheon | 12:30 PM at FIU MMC Paul L. Cejas Architecture Building
- Due to the Pandemic, our Mixer will be Cancelled.
REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:
- Team or Individual entry to race in the competition
- Free T-Shirt for the individual or each team member (max 2)
- Free post-race luncheon and celebration for participants
