About this Event
A climate fresk is an informative and uplifting game where the aim is to correctly identify the causes and feedbacks connecting 44 topics. The facilitator of the game leads the group through the workshop and structures the discussion, helping participants connect the 44 concepts to key policy and scientific literature on climate, such as the IPCC reports. Through the workshop the group will connect concepts, issues, and solutions, exploring their creative, emotional, and intellectual reactions. The process of the workshop will involve making a mural with artistic and written components, which will then be displayed in Fitzwilliam College JCR/MCR. This is a fantastic workshop for everyone, from climate novices to climate experts, looking to learn more about the climate crisis and sustainable transition.
Tickets are subsidised by Fitz Green Society (courtesy of funding from The Fitzwilliam Society). This price includes confirmation of being trained by an official fresk facilitator (fresks typically cost £50-100 to attend, so this is a fantastic deal!)
Snacks and refreshments will be provided, and you will be welcome to join us for college brunch from 11:30 before the event! The fresk itself will take place in Fitzwilliam College Central Building, Upper Hall 1. This room is wheelchair accessible.
