Friendship Is The New Pretty 2, INC (FITNP) is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. The organization's mission is to promote selfless service by giving back to women and children that are less fortunate through community service projects, empowerment, and promoting positivity amongst all women and children while making lifelong friends.
FITNP2 Vet Chat is a new program that starts on June 18, 2022, 1:00PM- 3:00 PM at Cody Library. The purpose of the peer support group is to improve the quality of life for women veterans, help build a network of friends and intimate relationships, thereby creating a strong social support system for women that share the common bond of military service.
Vet Chat will provide peer support in a monthly meeting setting and provide an opportunity for women veteran to share knowledge based on military experiences.
For June's FITNP2 Vet Chat special guest, Marcy Wescott, Wellness Coach will teach you "Mindful Practices For Real Life", which teaches how to cope with stress and anxiety on a daily basis. Once the Mindfulness session ends the Vet Chat will begin. Let's talk about it session will began to discuss anything that you may be experiencing in life as a Veteran Woman. We have resources available and refreshments.
