Join us for an evening of films, friends, and celebrating life outside!Field Institute of Taos is thrilled to host the Backcountry Film Festival at DALEEE KTAO — a night full of inspiring stories, snowy landscapes, human-powered adventure, and community connection.
🎬 About the Films
Produced by Winter Wildlands Alliance, the Backcountry Film Festival features short films from around the world that highlight adventure, conservation, and the joy (and grit) of getting outside in winter.
We’ll kick off the night with a special short film, Kids Need Nature, created by one of our amazing FITaos parents — a glimpse into our programs and why time outside matters so much for kids.

Proceeds from the evening stay right here in Taos, supporting Field Institute of Taos programs that help kids learn, play, build confidence, and grow through hands-on outdoor experiences.
