This event is perfect for kids between 5-15 years old who want to spend quality time with their family while enjoying the great outdoors. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler, there will be plenty of fish to catch and prizes to win!
Join us for this year's annual Kid's Father's Day Fishing Derby on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Angler's Pier in Peace Valley Park. Check-in time will start bright and early at 8am until 8:30am and fishing will begin at 8:30am until 10:30am.
It is a catch and release derby for all kids ages 5-15 years in four age categories.
This is a rain or shine event. Cancellation may occur for thunderstorms.
Preregistration is recommended on or before June 9, 2025. Goodie bags will be gifted to children who are pre-registered. If you are unable to pre-register, we ask that you bring exact payment as change may be in short supply.
Coffee and donuts are provided for participants and parents at the events.
Donations are gratefully accepted and all revenue is used towards next year's derby!
W HAT TO BRING:
- Bring a BUCKET! Buckets will be in short supply this year, and are required for the safe transport of caught fish to and from the weigh station.
- Bait
- Fishing pole
- Net
- Barbless hooks
Recommended equipment:
- spin cast/push button rod
- garden worms for bait
- BUCKET for transporting caught fish safely
Other Details:
No fishing license required
All PA Fish and Boat Rules and Laws apply. Children under 14 years must be accompanied by a parent or adult 18 years or older.
