'Friends of Fishbourne School' (Fishbourne School PTA) are delighted to announce that the Fishbourne Scarecrow Trail is returning this year in October half term (Monday 27th October until Sunday 2nd November).We are excited to announce that this year the theme is 'The Magic of Disney (and other animated films)' and we are super-proud to be fundraising jointly for Fishbourne School and St Wilfrid's Hospice. We are delighted that so many members of our local community have supported us in pledging a scarecrow...we have over 80 fab scarecrows that are going to be popping up all over the village!
How does a scarecrow trail work?
You come to Fishbourne in half term week, pick up a map/entry form from one of our local businesses (Fishbourne centre, Woolpack pub, Bulls Head pub, Fishbourne Roman Palace, Barreg Cycles and H.M. Scarterfield) and set off walking around the village finding scarecrows on the way and seeing if you can tell who they are. Fill in your answers on the form and, when done, drop it back to one of the businesses to be in with a chance of winning a prize!
We will be giving out prize hampers to scarecrow makers for 'Kids' Favourite scarecrow' and 'Grown-ups' favourite scarecrow' (as voted for by you on your forms) and also, for trail-goers for 'Most correct answers' and a 'Lucky Pick' (so don't worry if you don;t get round them all as you are still in with a chance of winning a prize!).
Prizes include: yummy treat hampers, pub vouchers, wine, Tesco vouchers, a cuddly toy, a Roman Palace voucher, singing lesson, personal training and boat trip vouchers courtesy of brilliant local businesses (Thank you to Scarterfields, Tesco, The Woolpack pub, Chichester Harbour Conservancy and Better by Becca). Please let us know if you would kindly be able to donate towards the hampers too.
