First Tracks Ski Patrol Conference is next month at the Milwaukee Hyatt! If you remember the Nsp, you are welcome to join us for two days of great sessions, learning, fellowship, recognition, and networking. We’re starting the day on Friday at Ausblick ski area where Harken Inc. will be taking us through high angle and low angle, rescue techniques and equipment. This course is being put on by their professional development team And should be incredible. Harken owns Cascade Toboggan! We’ll finish Friday night at Harken for dinner and then cap the night off in the hospitality suite.Saturday morning starts off with our keynote speaker, Bo Bigley the president of the Midwest Ski Area Association valid up by Jeff Olsen our new Central Division Director.
The rest of the day is full of 20 different learning sessions on all topics related to Ski Patrolling. Avalanche, mountain, travel, and rescue, outdoor Emergency care, sessions, outdoor Emergency, transportation sessions, movement analysis, interest, program, group meetings, senior program, prep sessions, and lots of different roundtable discussions on specific topics.
Saturday night is our recognition dinner and auction. It’ll be division awards and maybe some National recognition at this year‘s awards dinner. You’ll also wanna stop by the vendor area to check out the new equipment coming out this season.
This conference is designed for the everyday patroller to come and learn, grow and network with patrollers from across the Midwest. You don’t wanna miss it. There’s almost 200 patrollers registered already with a month ago.
