About this Event
Spring is here, and we’re thrilled to kick off the season with our first solo show of the year—featuring Atlanta-to-Portland artist, .
With his powerful presence already felt across the city through vibrant murals, we’re honored to welcome him to The BLACK Gallery for a special exhibit, Love is the Power.
Rooted in the raw energy of early ‘80s graffiti, Saleam (@saleam108) began as a street artist and quickly made his mark through large-scale murals and custom sneaker designs. He picked up a paintbrush before the age of five, and over time, has developed a signature style blending abstract expressionism with Afrocentric themes, deeply influenced by his background as a cartoonist. Now based in Portland, Saleam brings his dynamic, soul-charged work to The BLACK Gallery for a solo exhibit that speaks to love, power, and cultural expression.
