Join us for a festive neighborhood celebration during First Thursday: Red, White, and Blue! We will be continuing the independence celebration with live music and themed activities on Thursday, July 11 from 6pm to dusk along Mount Vernon Avenue.
This event is sponsored by the Jen Walker Team and is benefiting Cook for Vets, a non-profit that provides food security for Veterans and their households through the distribution of healthy meals and groceries for balanced, sustained nutrition. Donations needed include unopened & unexpired rice, pasta, quinoa; pickles/relish; canned vegetables; vegetarian baked beans; oatmeal (both single-serving packets and large containers); single-serving cereal; fruit cups; applesauce cups; granola/breakfast bars; crackers; individual-servings of mini-muffins; nuts; chicken/beef broth boxes (no cans); raisins; water bottles; and canned and dry cat food. Donations can be dropped off at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square, located at the intersection of Mt. Vernon & Oxford Avenues.
