First Thursday is a vibrant, free monthly arts & culture festival brought to you by Experience Fayetteville. From May through October of each year, the event is based around a new theme each month!First Thursday transforms the Historic Fayetteville Square into an outdoor arts and music celebration from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. The free, family-friendly event includes a diverse lineup of live music, artist demonstrations and installations, food trucks, and an arts market featuring more than 40 independent artists who create items in a variety of media.
Unfortunately, the season kick off in May was canceled due to the weather forecast, so we are more than ready to get this party started! This month's theme is Avant Garden - a celebration of all things green and blooming, where art meets nature with innovative art, music, and fashion.
Mainstage music will feature Fight Dream and 1oz Jig. There will also be a preview of "Fashion Fit for Queen" by Big Sister Studio. We will have the pleasure of viewing a new art installation by local crochet artist, Gina Gallina and Art Experience will lead a festive puppet parade.
Each month, a different Fayetteville Ale Trail brewery will be serving up cold beer. This month, you'll find Social Project Brewing Co. on the Fayetteville Town Center Plaza.
June’s presenting sponsor is Walton Arts Center.
First Thursday is supported by sponsors including South by Northwest Hospitality, who sponsor the food court, Gearhead Outfitters, who sponsor waste diversion efforts, and Lewis Automotive Group, who sponsor the Kids Zone. Thank you!
