Next Tasting: Ecuador Rancho Carmen
This coffee is a combination of lots from a group of producers in Ecuador’s southernmost province, Zamora-Chinchipe. Rancho Carmen is the name of the specific subregion where these producers are located. This part of Ecuador is characterized by lush Andean mountain landscapes, broad stretches of protected rainforests, and incredible biodiversity. Stumptown began sourcing this coffee in 2019 through our import/export partner Caravela. Caravela has been working in Ecuador since 2007, building a network of producers who are actively engaged in technical assistance and motivated by a desire to improve quality.
We are excited to be sourcing coffees in this region, where incredible growing conditions, sustainable farming practices, and strict quality control combine to produce unique and exceptional coffees.
