Class Overview
Week 1: Autumn Leaves
In this session, we'll capture the vibrant colors and intricate details of fall leaves using a loose, expressive watercolor style. Learn how to mix and layer colors to bring your autumn leaf paintings to life.
Week 2: Harvest Bounty
Dive into the harvest season as we explore layering techniques to paint pumpkins, gourds, and other autumn produce. We'll also incorporate ink to add definition and depth, giving your artwork a bold, seasonal look.
Week 3: Forest Wildlife
Focus on painting forest creatures like birds and squirrels in their natural fall habitat. This class will teach the art of careful observation and composition editing to create captivating scenes that celebrate the wildlife of autumn.
Registration Information
What to Bring:
Artists should bring their own watercolor supplies, including:
Watercolor paints
Watercolor brushes of various sizes
Watercolor paper
Palette and water containers
Rag
Watercolor kits are available for purchase for $25. Please mention that you would like to purchase supplies when you register so that they will be ready for you at the first class.
Location:
Venue: 9th Street Studios, 920 9th St., on the second floor. Please note that students must be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs. For smooth communication, please provide a valid email address during registration. You will receive an email after payment with important instructions on where to find the studio.
