Hello FSCC Folks,Our September First Saturday Cars & Coffee (FSCC) gathering will be on Saturday, September 6 at our regular location, the Blue Grass Stockyards Regional Marketplace located at 4561 Iron Works Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. We will meet at the regular time of 9-11am.
As usual, thanks to our sponsors there will be no fee for attending our family friendly event. Our sponsors will be providing the first 50 cups of coffee and donuts free at our gathering room inside the Marketplace. In addition, Pie Five will hold a free drawing for five pizzas at 9:30am. Many thanks to our continuing sponsors, Wildcat Moving, Pie Five Pizza and the Blue Grass Stockyards/Marketplace for making our gatherings possible. Also, remember out of respect for our sponsors and the other attendees, we do not need speed shots or donuts on the asphalt. The event is hosted by Cadre Prime LLC. Note that this is a rain or sunshine event.
So, what happened at our August 2 gathering?
In addition to beautiful weather, we had 200 cars attend and a couple of neat attractions. For the second time, our newest sponsor, Pie Five held a free drawing for five pizzas. Folks are telling me the pizzas are really good. Check them out at https://www.piefivepizza.com/locations/fayette-mall/. Also, as information for the car clubs, note that Pie Five is available to host club meetings. The Sterling British club has already held a meeting there and the Porsche club is having a monthly social there in September.
As a second attraction at our August FSCC gathering, we were able to introduce a new business coming to the Lexington area. MotorVaultKY put up a display tent in the ‘Yard show lot promoting their new business. MotorVaultKY will provide a new and very neat concept in car storage with the optional benefits of a members-only lounge. Additional Features of this facility will include: On Site Mechanic, On Site Detailing, Podium F1 Simulators, Golf Simulators, a Cigar Lounge and possibly more! Also, you might notice that our event photographer, Terry Malin added a new dimension to his photos. He expanded his shots to include not only very neat cars but also cameos of some very nostalgic brand identifiers. I really have fond recollections of several emblems he captured!
