The Village of Potsdam and SLC Arts are thrilled to announce a brand-new way to ring in the New Year... First Night Potsdam, a family-friendly celebration packed with music, activities and the county's only New Year's Eve fireworks display!
Join us on Wednesday, December 31, for:
- Free & low-cost activities throughout the day
- An outdoor dance party in Ives Park with fire rings, glow necklaces, commemorative pins, vendors and more, starting at 7 PM
- Fireworks over the Raquette River at 8 PM 🎆
Daytime highlights include:
✅ Potsdam Public Museum and Archives exhibit + themed activity
✅ Free open skating (plus free hot cocoa!) & stick/puck at Pine Street Arena
✅ Matinee punk show at SLC Arts / Creative Spirit Arts Center (more free cocoa & cider!)
✅ Plus, don't miss storytime at Potsdam Public Library or the "Noon" Year's Eve ball drop at the North Country Children's Museum!
After the New Year's Eve fireworks, stick around to mingle or head downtown for dining and live music through midnight and beyond! Watch the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce page for information on all the celebrations happening through the early hours of January 1!
