A meaningful, empowering alternative to traditional period education. Gathering in a circle to receive knowledge and tools so they can start their periods and puberty with ease. Featuring craft, product play, conversations, and a special parent daughter celebration. This is for ages 9-12.The way your child experiences their first period creates a foundation for how they’ll understand their own worth, power, and value as a cyclical being for the rest of their life. This circle is a beautiful, gentle space where they’ll feel safe to explore, ask questions, and learn how to truly care for themselves as they grow.

Mothers/Carer's will join their daughters for the first 15 minutes to help them settle into the space and get comfortable. You’ll light a candle together to symbolise the start of the ceremony and do some introductions. Before mums leave for the children-only section of the circle, we’ll do some light breathing exercises to help ease any nerves.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿:
First Moon Circles offer so much more than just information about periods! They create a powerful, nurturing space that helps children embrace their bodies and cycles with confidence and curiosity. In our culture, periods are often hidden, feared, or misunderstood, leading many to feel shame or embarrassment about this natural part of life. Without proper guidance, children can carry these negative perceptions into adulthood, affecting their self-esteem, health, and even their relationship with their bodies.
When we create a safe, empowering environment for children to learn about their cycles, we set the stage for a lifetime of body literacy, self-awareness, and confidence. Instead of seeing their period as something to hide or dread, they begin to honour it as a powerful, natural rhythm. They learn that their body isn’t something to battle, but a source of wisdom and strength.
When attending a First Moon Circle, children walk away with a deep understanding of not just the how and why of menstruation, but also how to care for themselves emotionally, physically, and spiritually through each phase of their cycle. They gain confidence in asking questions, exploring their emotions, and celebrating their body’s capabilities.
These circles also foster open conversations between parents and children, breaking the taboo around periods and making it a normal, respected part of family life. When families understand the cycles together, the entire household benefits from the shared wisdom and positivity that comes with embracing the menstrual journey.
