Monday Swing is a weekly vintage swing dance practicum and social dance in a cozy SE PDX setting. Now featuring First Monday Jam Sessions! For dancers: $15 cash/Venmo at the door
For musicians not dancing: no cover
No partner needed! All Ages!
7:00-7:30 DJ Music
7:30-9:30: Jazz Jam
9:30-10:00: DJ Music

>THE JAM<
So you want to join the jam session at Monday Swing?
Here's what you need to know!
-Sign in as you enter. The jam leader will arrange musicians into sets.
-There is no cover for musicians, but please consider making a donation of $5-10 to help PLS cover the costs of this event.
-Grab a jam book. We offer fake books in various keys.
-If you’d like a digital copy of the fake books, ask a PLS board member or a seasoned jammer.
-There is a piano in the studio.

>THE PRACTICUM & DANCE<
Think of practicum as a social dance with relaxed etiquette. Ask for help, offer advice, work on a project, or just social dance like usual.
After the jam, we DJ music just like a regular social dance.

Experienced dancers and local teachers are available at practicum to help out with sticky spots.
>> Balboa? Shag? Solo? Learning swingouts?
Let the DJ know what you're working on if you have specific music requests!
