The public is invited to attend an opening reception of the latest “Art @ Your Library” exhibit featuring artists from the Bellevue Arts Council on Friday, October 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees can meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments and live music provided by NISOM. This exhibit will display in the historic second floor rotunda. Art pieces on display are also available for purchase.The mission of the Bellevue Arts Council is to create, foster and promote our unique regional arts environment by supporting the arts, art education and artists of eastern Iowa. Artists showing from the council are Anne McGee Tibbitts, Dave Eischeid, Forrest Grey, Gail Chavenelle, Holly Feuling, Laura Larabee, Lorna Olson, Michelle Banz, Michael Pedersen, Mike Doland, Nolan Smith, Naser & Patricia Shahrivar, Peggy Jo Brekke, and Rich Weinschenk.
Art @ Your Library features unique, local artists throughout the year. Each exhibit is on display for two months and is open to the pubic during regular library hours. Most art pieces included in the exhibitions are also available for purchase.
