The Reser & The City of Beaverton/Beaverton Arts Program are excited to announce the new public art installation, Across Oceans by Portland artist Kanani Miyamoto. Comprised of hundreds of hand-carved, cut and pulled prints, the Across Oceans features beautiful, stylized imagery that celebrates Miyamoto’s mixed heritage (Native Hawaiian/Japanese) by combining traditional printmaking practices, Eastern art aesthetics, and Hawaiian philosophy. The imagery signifies the coming together of people from distant lands across bodies of water that connect that connect us all. Across Oceans wraps the window façades at The Reser and the entrance to the Beaverton Building at City Hall, and will be on display through May 2025.
