Join us for this First Friday event on Friday, October 3rd, from 5:00–8:00 PM, to help kick off Spokane’s October Arts Month.
Jon Morse, based in Boise Idaho, is recognized for his fine art, whose work is collected all over the western United States and beyond. His large-scale contemporary abstractions explore the intersection of form, balance, and space.
His paintings are featured in homes across the country, most notably the iconic Kaufmann House collection in Palm Springs. Jon creates meditative, abstract paintings that are both energetic in their scale and color palettes and calm in their intentional composition and quiet flow. Jon's work is a nod to modern design and architecture, while speaking to each viewer with a message of artistic individuality and organic shapes.
First Friday is a monthly celebration of Spokane's downtown art and retail scene, taking place on the first Friday of each month from 5:00–8:00 PM. Attendees can explore various venues throughout downtown Spokane, enjoying art exhibitions, live music, and special offerings from local retailers and restaurants.
The event at Uptic Studios will run from 5:00–8:00 PM, giving you the opportunity to view Jon’s work, meet the artist, learn about his creative process, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. Light bites, refreshments, and live music will be provided.
