“Silver” Boxes making activity for kids of all ages
On Friday, October 7, the Elegant Vessels: A Century of Southwest Silver Boxes exhibition will debut in the Kitchell Gallery. The exhibition features more than 75 boxes, from early works dating to c.1914 through commissioned works made in 2022.
Along with the exhibition, get creative and design your own “silver box” outside of It’s Your Turn adjacent to the Nichols Sculpture Garden.
Nora Naranjo Morse and Tony Abeyta will be featured panelists in the Remembering the Future Symposium on October 7 and 8. Don’t miss these two renowned artists give a unique spin in a mini artist talk in the Grand Gallery.
Free admission for everyone from 4 to 8 p.m.
