Join us on New Year's Day as we explore the winter landscape of the Black Run Preserve. Bring your friends and family as we start the New Year on the trails in our "Gateway to the Pinelands." Our trails have hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, and stumps and some wet areas. We will be about 5 miles in two hours with some stops. Porta Potty is available at the beginning and end of hike.
DATE: Wednesday, January 1, 2025
TIME: 10:00am to 12:00pm (Meet at the welcome table at 9:30 am to check in.
WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance. This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve.
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress with layers for the weather and bring a water bottle. Protect yourself from the sun, bugs, and cold.Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.
DETAILS: This is a social/informational hike to familiarize participants with the trails of the Black Run Preserve and the Friends of the Black Run Preserve community.
