There are multiple hiking opportunities at Meeman-Shelby Forest on New Year's Day!The first hike will start at 8:00am at the Woodland Trail Head with Ranger ANDe Demetriou. You will take the 4-mile trail, stopping at the Woodland Shelter where you will get the chance to partake in HOT CHOCOLATE provided by the Friends of the Forest!!!
If you are not able to make such an early morning start, or you would not prefer to hike the 4-mile section, do not fret! Starting at 9:00am there will be a campfire at the entrance of the Bike Trail that is tended by Ranger Decoda Muller. There we will have smore's for the young'uns. From there you can hike down the ~1.2 mile Bike Trail, ultimately ending at the Woodland Shelter where the Friends of the Forest will be waiting with their HOT CHOCOLATE!!!
Feel free to come and go as you'd like until 12:00pm when the event will end!
