It’s that time of the year again!Mark the beginning of 2026 with us at the Mint with your chance to press the first coin of the year for your collection.
Here’s what you need to know:
This is your chance to strike one of the first coins made in 2026.
First Coin of the Year will take place on 1 January 2026 at 6:00am.
In the morning, the Mint will hold a raffle to determine the winners.
Visitors in the raffle will receive one (1) wristband to go into the draw to win.
The winners will be the first hundred (100) visitors to strike their coin.
Each coin will come with a certificate of authenticity.
Raffle Wristbands: On-site from 7:00am to 8:00am only.
Raffle Draw: 8:30am
Minting Fee: $3 per coin (bring cash).
This is an all-weather event, so please come prepared.
Winners will be required to pay to mint their coin on the day.
Coin pressing is $3 per person and strictly limited to one (1) coin per person.
With ample parking, free entry, on-site water refill stations and a café at the Mint (with outside coffee orders available from 6:30am.)
