Dear 2024 Marriage Retreat Cruisers,
May we begin by saying how excited we are that you have decided to journey with us on our 5-Night Mexican Riviera Cruise aboard the Carnival Firenze for our 2024 FBC Marriage Retreat. Our cruise dates are Tuesday, July 16th – Sunday, July 21st. We know that this is different from what we have been accustomed to in the past. However, we believe this will be exciting, refreshing, and relaxing. This will be an awesome time of renewal with our spouse and our Savior. J
Please know we are diligently praying for you, your spouse, your family, your health, and your marriage as we seek God’s blessings and His Spirit’s leading as to our Agenda and Presenters. Our theme this year is “For Better or For Worse, I’m Not Going Anywhere!” Don’t let the theme scare you too much. There will be great discussion topics at various times throughout the cruise. The discussions will be designed to make us think, consider, re-consider, and adjust in our individual lives first, then as couples. How exciting!
We wanted to let you know there will be a Retreat Registration Fee of $100/per couple that will be due by May 15, 2024. This fee is separate from all cruise costs. The registration and/or Eventbrite will have more details and will be available immediately following the Holiday Season. Bro. Samuel Thompson is our expert; therefore, he will be navigating this portion of the retreat. Please be on the lookout for an email and/or phone call in early January from Bro. Sam.
Next, be sure you are reaching out to LJ Cruises for monthly payments. She will let you know exactly what you owe and when the final payment is due. If you have not done so, please give her your t-shirt sizes. Also, thank you for your patience while she was having tremendous difficulty with her work phone.
As we get closer to our embarkation date of July 16th, the retreat schedule will be finalized. You will have all the information necessary so you can be properly prepared for the cruise and retreat. For our new cruisers, please know there will be so much for you to do on the cruise before and after our session times. There will be ample time for dancing, singing, laughing, eating, resting, sunbathing, napping, walking, people watching, sleeping, shopping, gambling, and so much more. Yes, we mentioned three different ways for resting our bodies and our minds and our souls!
Lastly, it is our prayer that you have a Thankful Thanksgiving, A Merry CHRISTmas and a Safe & Prosperous New Year. May we lean in more and dig a bit deeper into our relationship with the Master. May our faith and trust grow deeper and more assuredly. We CAN trust our God. He is Faithful…even when we can’t see Him working, KNOW that HE IS! Again, we are grateful for you. We are praying for you. Please pray for us and every detail of the retreat. We love you.
