Volunteer-Village Co. and Hoke County Parents as Teachers are hosting a Community Resource and Volunteer Fair on Sunday, November 9th, from 1–4 PM at the Robert A. Wright Agricultural Building.Our goal is to bring together as many nonprofits, charities, community organizations, and local resources as possible so residents can learn what’s available in Hoke County and how they can get involved.
We started this initiative after hearing from several community members who wanted to volunteer or access services but didn’t know where to begin. So far, 18 organizations have signed up, and we hope to have 20–25 confirmed by the end of the month.
We’re also excited to share that Benchmark Planning, which is conducting the land use surveys for Hoke County, will be attending to hear directly from residents about their vision for the county’s growth.
And of course, no event is complete without great food and coffee — JLNL Eatz, LLC and She Brews Coffee will be joining us as well. We hope to see all of you there!
