Hoke County Parents as Teachers and Volunteer-Village Co. are thrilled to host our first-ever Volunteer Fair to bring together nonprofits, charities, and community organizations with local residents who are eager to give back. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your volunteer needs and connect with potential supporters all in one place.✅ Who Can Set Up a Table?
Any nonprofit, organization, or charity that offers volunteer opportunities in Hoke County. You don’t need to be based in Hoke County, but your opportunities must be accessible to our local residents.
🌍 What Kind of Organizations Are We Looking For?
Everyone! We’re aiming for a well-rounded group that reflects the diversity of our community—including military organizations, and those serving African American, Hispanic, and Native American populations. We also welcome organizations that offer volunteer opportunities for families, individuals with disabilities, and those with special needs. If your organization allows unaccompanied minors to volunteer, we will require a copy of your tax exemption letter and background checks of those supervising volunteers before approving your application for the event. This helps us ensure a safe and trusted environment for all involved.
📋 What Do Participating Organizations Need to Do?

Things you need to know:
-No fee to participate.
-Tables and chairs will be provided (if needed).
Bring any materials that showcase your opportunities, including:
-Volunteer roles/responsibilities
-Upcoming event dates or recurring needs
-Background check or application forms and writing utensils
-Brochures or other marketing tools
🚫 What’s Not Allowed?
This is not a fundraising event. Please do not actively solicit donations. If someone asks to donate, feel free to share how—but do not advertise fundraising.
🍔 Interested in Bringing a Food Truck?
We’d love to have local food trucks participate! There is no vendor fee, but if you are able we ask that trucks select one of the participating organizations and make a donation to their cause. You can send an email to [email protected] for our list of participating organizations.
