Let’s get ready to Rumble!!!!I am pleased to announce the 1st annual Cowesett Neighborhood Rib competition!!!
When: Saturday September 28, 2024 @ 1pm
Where: The Freeman House - 161 S. Cobble Hill Road, Warwick, RI 02886
At approximately 2:15pm entry into the competition will be closed.
Please consider bringing a side dish to share and whatever you want to drink. Kraft Mac n Cheese will be provided for the kiddos should they not like Ribs.
Contestants can bring more than one pre-smoked rack of pork ribs, but only one rack of ribs can be entered into the competition per Chef. Contestants can make the ribs using any recipe they want.
Upon arrival your ribs will be taken and given a secret number associated with the Chef. Neither the Chef nor Judges will know which number is associated with which Chef. Ribs will be placed on identical serving trays to ensure there is no favoritism and that the best ribs win.
Pre-selected judges will be provided with pen/notepad to keep notes, sample the various selections, and vote for their top three favorite rib dish.
Top prize is a custom trophy (designed by me / pictured above)!!!!!
The winner will be known throughout the neighborhood as the Rib Master, and most importantly, He/She will have BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR THE YEAR!!!!!
2nd and 3rd place will also receive a prize.
Anyone in/near our neighborhood is welcome to enter.
The Freeman’s are excited to be hosting what we hope will become an annual tradition, and yet another reason to love our wonderful neighborhood.
