For those in need of CPR certification or re-certification, Safety-Educators is offering a 4hr session at the Scotland Community Center.Wednesday, March 19th, 5pm-9pm
Cost: $135 per student
BLS for Healthcare Provider is primarily a class designed for those that are patient-facing, which often includes hospital, clinical, EMS, and other positions that work with patients on a daily basis. Heartsaver CPR AED is for non-medical workers, or those that do not directly with patients on a daily basis. First Aid is a class that covers a variety of essential topics for those helping with emergency aid.
Credentialing will be through the American Heart Association, which offers a 2yr credential. Successful students will receive their card at the end of class. All students will receive a student manual. This class will be scaled to accommodate either BLS Initial Provider, BLS Renewal courses, or Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED (TBD).
Helpful bits to know:
-For those that need to renew, please know that the AHA will not renew a non-AHA credential. If you hold a certification from any other brand, in order to have an AHA credential you would need to take the full Initial Provider class.
-Those with a current AHA BLS card can renew their BLS card in 2.5hrs if they have a valid AHA BLS Provider card.
-Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is an approximately 4hr class, suited to the needs of the student.
